This building was formerly a kind of motel with a camel parking at the time when the Ottomans came to Croatia in 1644. They stopped at Vrana (near Pakostane) and Pasha Jusuf Maskovic built this building. It has now returned to its primary function: a hotel business with 14 deluxe rooms and 2 suites, a restaurant and a bar open to all. You will also find the archeological site of a Turkish bath, a museum and a souvenir shop, a SAUNA and a JACUZZI.

Every year, at the end of August, there is a 3-day sound and light show about the battle between the Croats and the Ottomans, a magnificent show where thousands of holidaymakers gather and in which hundreds of volunteers from Pakostane participate.

You will fall under the spell of this fortress. While staying there you will feel its entire history, and that is what makes it such an unusual lodging and an exceptional place.

The nearest village is Pakostane with its entertainment, folklore and summer concerts, 15 restaurants, 15 bars, ice cream parlors, post office and exchange offices, bank, supermarket, boat rentals and excursions to the Kornati islands.
