To see, to visit Region Istria
In istrie, you can visit : Pula, Rovinj, porec, Opatija, Lovran and so more ….
Pula

- A city rich of monuments: Roman monuments and the arenas ... a bit weird but I'll let you judge for yourself. Anyway: we could say that the proximity of buildings of the Yugoslav period will give you difficulty to project yourself at the time of antiquity or the time the middle ages!
But there are many other monuments to see in Pula Forum (up pretty busy in the summer), the Temple of Augustus with its lovely portico six Corinthian columns, City Hall Gothic and Renaissance the castle with its lovely view of the city and the port of Pula, Cathedral, St. Mary's chapel in the Byzantine style, the Roman Theatre, the archaeological museum.
Rovinj and Porec

- Rovinj : Rovinj is the most visited city in Istria surely due to the holy church Euphemia and narrow streets along old stone houses and Baroque palaces. This city has suffered, like many other cities in Croatia, the Roman invasions, Byzantine and Venetian.
- But also ....
Inside Istria

Really more nicer : the inside of Istrian : area of Vodnjan, Pazin, Motovun, Groznjan and the smallest town in the world Hum !!
Most of its villages are on top of a hill at the foot of the hills are vineyards! very pretty !! Many also olive trees and the land is very well maintained with lovely stone walls. In Vodnjan, you will preferably in the evening will go eating the Vodjnanka: restaurant wellknowned throughout Croatia: you could take the pasta with white truffles, a treat just thinking about it! ... ...
From Opatija to Lovran

Very nice route to follow when you arrive in Istria (or on your way back!). First you arrive in Opatija: this is the Croatian Saint Tropez Riviera ! I am a fan! OK, there are lot of turist in high season, but the city is so beautiful that it would be a shame to miss it !
In the nineteenth century, it was already a popular holiday .........
To cross Slovenija

When you come from France, you must cross a few kilometers from Slovenia. There are two ways to do this: the first is to take the highway: you will have to buy a vignette in a service station before entering the highway or at the border. Warning, if you control the police (which happens often) and you do not have the sticker, you will pay a fine of 150 to 300 euros. ... If you forgot to paste the sticker: 150 euros. Cost of the sticker: 30 euros for 1 month. Otherwise thumbnail to eight days too (2012 prices). Or you can take the main road so you do not pay the sticker and in addition, it gives you a chance to see the beautiful scenery of Slovenia. Look at the map.
