Arboretum of Trsteno
It is a garden of Eden which is a 15 minute drive from Dubrovnik, the seafront. It was first of all a nice residence apartment Family Ivan Marinov, built in 1494. The owners have extensive knowledge in the middle of the sailors, asked it to report their unknown and exotic species to fill their garden. Then the park is expanded and was the finest of the country, covering an area of 28 hectares.
The beauty and enigmatic charm of this park has even attracted the producers of Game of thrones!
The garden was nationalized in 1948 and now belongs to the Croatian academy of science and art. So we love walking among the plane trees, cypress, bamboo, olive trees, oaks, Aleppo pines, pomegranate, palm trees, but we will not miss the photo pose near the Neptune Fountain, we walk under the water, stroll to the Saint jean chapel and romantic pose under the arbor with panoramic views of the Adriatic sea. In short: I loved ! Leaving the park, you take a small road on the left and descend into the creek below, adorable small beach and small port used by local rare. Too handsome !
