What to visit ?

Korcula island

Guests have access to the island by a ferry of 20 minutes, no more. Immediately you will see the foot of the beautiful medieval city of Korcula called "little Dubrovnik".

Many painters near the sea will propose their paintings. Inside the city, the fortifications are very nice , St Mark's Cathedral, the cathedral treasury, the city museum and the house of Marco Polo (for them,it is clear: Marco was born in Korcula,  Certainly!). I like much more the interior of the island that is more authentic, mysterious, we guess austerity in which the inhabitants have lived in previous decades, and as surely even now, in the winter when the tourists are away their island. This island is known for its vineyards and wine cellars, its "Lombarda sandy beach" and small stone villages surrounded by olive trees.
Fields, vineyards were with pretty dry stone walls, many were rebuilt, much work was done after the 1995 war and now the island has the beauty of the work and the charm of old and lonely bays after a path .... you will have to find them! Be sure to taste the wine GRK, dry and fruity white wine, the winemaker Branko Cebalo is the most famous. Opportunity to visit their cellars and do a tasting.
