Zagreb : the capital
It is rare that we stay in Zagreb, the beaches and the Dalmatian coast is more popular. But wen can found some "lost" turist on the street who want to visit this beautiful and interesting city.
Zagreb is the capital of Croatia (no it is not Dubrovnik!) and resident are about 800 000. The city has beautiful monuments : orange or yellow , beautifully maintained, a large colorful Dolac market, full of pedestrian streets, café terrace and trees full of singing of the wind, and in the evening, there is bars and night clubs for those who want to stay late at night.
Therefore, this is what you can see: the Cathedral, the city museum, the foundation Ivan Mestrovic, great Croatian sculptor, Place St. Mark, the church of St. Mark, the holy church catherine, the History Museum, the Art Museum naive....
Place Ban -Jelacic is well known to us in Croatia, one finds the statue of Josip Jelacic, the most photographed of the city. It is from there you take the funicular to go in the highest part of the city and see the Saint Marc church (a symbol of the capital - note its colorful roof). The botanical garden is a nice place during the great heat of summer.
It snows in winter in Zagreb. The Zagreb then go skiing in the Medvednica Nature Park.
